A number of holiday collections are underway and items can be easily donated at one location.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Are you buying a new winter jacket? Do you have holiday lights that no longer work? Did your kids get duplicate toys this year? Did Santa bring you a new cell phone?<\/p>\n<p>If you have\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/glenellyn.patch.com\/articles\/holiday-2012-recycle-lights-phones-coats-donate-new-toys\">items you\u2019d like to toss<\/a>\u00a0but aren\u2019t sure what to do with them, a number of collections are taking place in the Boston area. Items can be dropped off in the South End at Morgan Memorial\u00a0Goodwill\u00a0Industries (1010 Harrison Ave.)<\/p>\n<p><b>Toys<br \/>\n<\/b>One collection seeking new items and not used ones is\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.toysfortots.org\/\">Toys for Tots<\/a>. New, unwrapped toys are being sought for children in the area.\u00a0You can drop them off at\u00a023 Dry Dock Ave, 8th floor\u00a0Boston, MA from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday\u00a0through Friday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Coats<br \/>\n<\/strong>If you have coats you no longer need, donations are being collected through\u00a0Coats for Kids at\u00a0any\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.antons.com\/locations\">Anton&#8217;s Cleaners<\/a>\u00a0or\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.jordans.com\/About-Us\/Store-Locations.aspx\" class=\"broken_link\">Jordan&#8217;s Furniture<\/a>\u00a0between now and Jan. 12. The closest Anton&#8217;s to Charlestown is\u00a037 Charles St., Boston.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cell Phones<br \/>\n<\/strong>Cell phones piling up because you have the newest and best that technology has to offer? Mail used cells to the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center (989 Commonwealth Avenue,\u00a0Boston, MA 02215)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lights<br \/>\n<\/strong>Have old holiday lights that no longer work? Maybe you switched colors or swapped old lights for LED ones? Whatever the reason, if you have lights that you&#8217;re not hanging this year, they can be recycled.
