It’s the night she won’t forget, her prom. She has
on her beautiful dress, her hair and make-up are perfect, she
looks stunning and now she is ready for one of the most magical
nights of her life. She feels like a princess that night, a night
like no other, one she will cherish for years.
Sponsored by Anton’s Cleaners, a family-owned chain of 44
stores in Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire, Belle of the Ball
cleans and distributes prom dresses to high school
junior and senior girls who would otherwise not have the opportunity
to attend their school’s prom.
The 2010 Belle of the Ball collection drive will run
from February 1st to April 1st. The goal is to collect ‘gently
worn gowns,' in a variety of styles and sizes. Gowns may be dropped
off at any Anton’s Cleaners or Jordan’s Furniture
store locations. Dresses will be cleaned free of charge at Anton’s
Cleaners stores throughout the area.
The 2010 drive will culminate with the sixth annual boutique
on April 17, 2010 at Simmons College in Boston. If you are interested
in volunteering at the boutique, sign up on our volunteer
page.
We are currently seeking high schools, colleges, businesses,
and community organizations, to run dress collection drives.
You may register on our Become
a Partner page.
We are also seeking both in-kind and financial donations, which
will be used to purchase gift certificates for hair and nail
salons, corsages, limo services and other prom related services.
For more information on in-kind donations, visit the "How
You Can Help" page.
Since the program began in 2005, more than 1080 girls have received
beautiful dresses.
The program’s success is testimony
to the many supporting, promotional,
collection and in-kind partners.
